2018 Hawthorne Manor Haunted House
It was a record-setting event this year, despite the local high school football game and all the rain. Over three nights, 867 guests contributed $430 cash and 533 food items to our charity of choice, Metrocrest Services. Thank you to everyone- family, friends, neighbors, and all our guests for making it three fun nights.

    Could you also splice a wire for lighting? I'd like for the sensor to activate light and sound onto an inanimate creepy figure.

    Dr Bones here. Nice setup. Might I respectfully recommend projection to a rear section of the graveyard fence, away from the trick-or-treaters. The image can be angled off to the side of and behind the gravestone. If bleed-thru to a rear wall is an issue, consider setting up the projector on the back side of the graveyard fence in a disquised location (rear projection).

    Thanks....that was sooo cool . Even after 4yrs...I have a lot of Atmosfx digital decorations including the Eerie 👀 eyes. I ended up here because I'm trying to understand the purpose of the media player other than a motion sensor. I'm not computer savvy and use about 5 projects in my yard hard.

    Hey this is awesome! I am a newbie to animatronics but have a lot of digital displays. I'm trying to up my graveyard display and came across your video. My son and I definitely want to try and make this. Is there any way you can provide the exact details of what motor you used, the dimensions of the base and all the components? I know you had a short shot of your diagram in the video but it's not super clear.

    is there any need to ground the motor? or does the ground from the power supply make it so it's grounded? in a car I believe the frame of the car is what gives it its ground.

    The company suggest different types of material that you can use and I took a screenshot of it... Bridal mesh Mosquito netting Fine gauze Scrim ... That might save you some money on buying the material yourself

  • @Diana-wg1tm

    I would be concerned about the projector not being the type of projector that can be turned on its side or upside down. It may not be designed to do that. Which it may get overheated and especially it being in a box without any venting it may damage or $200 projector. Just something to think about

      I just kinda left my stuff noisy. It adds to the creepiness. WD40 or bicycle lube on the PVC maybe? Windshield wiper motors are a bit noisy, so enclose it in a box maybe?

      Tim Kline Awesome! I am so glad to hear that. What some “not in the biz” don’t understand is that these are homemade and very difficult to design and build. It’s a great day when you figure something out and make it work. That’s why I made the videos. Congrats on your build.

      @Hawthorne Manor Haunted House you really inspired me to make my own haunt and I have always looked up to you as a haunter. Not to bug you or anything, but I really want to know how you made your manor and chop shop panels?

    • @HawthorneManorHauntedHouse
      @HawthorneManorHauntedHouse 4 роки тому

      Haunter's Inc. That’s cool, thanks. That’s why. I made the videos. I have a video on making cloth panels. Don’t add the cloth. Buy cheap paneling or 1/8” plywood and attach it. Add burlap or wallpaper to decorate. Light and thin is the objective. They can get heavy. Punch holes with a hammer and rough up the edges of the hole to make it look beat up. Bam! That easy!

      @@HawthorneManorHauntedHouse Is it all right to record from the demo video of the grave digger prop?

    • @HawthorneManorHauntedHouse
      @HawthorneManorHauntedHouse 4 роки тому

      That’s what I did. Is it a copyright violation? Maybe. I’m not an attorney. I guess the manufacturer could ask that you remove the audio from your prop or any UA-cam video. I think the risk is low. If you are concerned, a safe thing to do would be to write down the words and record yourself reciting them. Hmmm, that would be fun. Anyway, it is a great dialog.

      Unfortunately, I sold the haunted house and cemetery after Halloween 2018. I moved and was not able to keep up with the incredible amount of work it requires. I was a victim of my own success. It does kill some of the grass under the tombstones, but the Bermuda grass comes right back. Of course I couldn’t mow for about a month.
